Journalism students that are enrolled in college today, are learning that being able to be a multimedia hero is becoming more of a necessity. Students are learning that just being able to write a story is not good enough. Many newspapers and magazines are now hiring people who can do it all; as in writing and developing photos and possibly videos. Professors are beginning to educate students on how they will soon be able to do it all and become a multimedia hero.

The world of journalism is also progressing and developing new ways to get the news out to people. One way they are doing this is putting newspapers online. For older people, people who have been reading newspapers for years, may not be ready for this transition. For one thing, you need a computer with Internet access. Some people don't even know how to use a computer. How will these people get the news if all newspapers are online one day?

These are topics that need to be thought about. Journalism is changing with technology. Are we ready?
